Great Give Shatters Record

The New Haven groups that work in the trenches collected more than $1.8 million this week to house, feed, protect, and enrich our community

They did it through a record-breaking Great Give.”

Some 406 local nonprofits have joined forces to raise millions of dollars Wednesday and Thursday in the 10th annual version of the event, which is run by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (CFGNH). The nonprofits signed up collect money through a platform created by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, which organizes the event each year.

The final tally showed the total money raised exceeding $1.8 million, the foundation announced Friday. That broke the previous record of $1.75 million.
